Ram Nath Kovind takes oath as 14th President of India

New Delhi: Ram Nath Kovind took oath as the 14th President of India on Tuesday at a swearing-in ceremony in the Central Hall of the Parliament in New Delhi. Kovind was administered the oath of office by Chief Justice of India Justice J.S. Khehar.

After taking the oath, a 21-gun salute was given in the honour of President Kovind.

Vice-president Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan, Union ministers, Governors, Chief Ministers, Ambassadors and other diplomats, MPs and senior civil and military officers were among those present at the ceremony.
